Atlanta's Favorite Variety Show
Celebrating the music, arts, & changemakers of the South from Atlanta. Think of it as the love child between the Ed Sullivan Show and A Prairie Home Companion.
Atlanta's Favorite Good Gracious Variety Show #11 is pleased as punch to host the incredible MINTON SPARKS from Nashville, TN. Described as a cross between Flannery O'Connor and Hank Williams, or maybe a backwoods Lucinda Williams, she's a treasure to behold. She's been on the Grand Ole Opry, performed alongside Maya Angelou & Kay Gibbons, and served as teller-in-residence at the Jonesborough National Storytelling Festival.
Alongside her will be the outstanding House Band & baritone guitarist ALEX GORDON and improv comedy stylings from VILLAGE THEATRE. Trumpeter-composer-singer JASON COLLIER, who tours with groups such as Ruby Velle & the Soulphonics and his own original band, The Jason Collier Music Project, will perform as well. ANDREA COLBURN & MUD MOSELEY bring their haunting outlaw country music, and you never know what you'll get from painter and streetfolk artist BLACKCATTIPS. The folks from COMMON GOOD ATLANTA will share how they're bringing education to hungry minds.

Our live shows are once-in-a-lifetime and an event you don't wanna miss. Folks have called it "A Southern Home Companion" without the glassified guy who sings. See what they mean...
Ear Candy that's better than radio - that's what these are. Great bite-sized pieces of amazing Southerners you can listen to with your family, in the car, or while at work - online or downloaded. Maybe you know someone we should hear?...
